ginobambino: A friend of mine recommended this show. I tried watching it but I stopped after 10 minutes. Unbearable. Ugh. FU.

You, sir, are wrong. The Big Bang Theory is fantastic. Maybe you are not nerdy enough or something.

P.S. maybe it helps that I knew two guys damn near exactly like Sheldon and Leonard so I always picture them and relate scenarios to memories?

No, this show is fucking awesome!

You know, I hate to say that I enjoy a current “traditional” sitcom (with a laugh track, obvious and dumb jokes, poor acting, etc.) but I really do like this one. It’s not always solid, but they really manage to pull off the nerd humor, for the most part. I know people who are like these characters, and sometimes I am these characters. It’s insulting while still managing to be respectful.

For the most part though, the only serious reason to watch is for Jim Parsons’ performance as Sheldon, a character that I simultaneously identify with and am repulsed by. That said, PROTIP: Watch more than one or two episodes. It gets better once you get into the “swing of things.”

     I like it too fuckers!
